Loomi Vault is a browser extension that backs up the conversations you have on claude.ai, chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, gemini.google.com, grok.com, x.com/i/grok and perplexity.ai into your browser's local extension storage, and lets you read, search and export them.
The text of your own conversations on the sites listed above, the conversation title and URL, and timestamps of when a backup was first and last saved. Because each backup records the address, title and time of a chat page you visited, this is a local record of your visits to those chat pages (and only those pages); it is never sent anywhere. It also stores your settings (automatic backup on or off, theme, retention days). Backups are taken automatically while a supported chat page is open, unless you turn automatic backup off in the popup, in which case only chats you back up by hand are saved. A JSON export you import on another machine is stored the same way.
All backup data stays in your browser's local extension storage on your device. Loomi Vault has no server, no account and no analytics, and the only network request it makes is the font request below. None of your chat data is sent anywhere. Data leaves your device only when you choose to export a file, and only to the location you save it.
Fonts. The popup and the vault page load the Jost, Source Serif 4 and JetBrains Mono typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) each time they open. That request carries your IP address and the extension's origin to Google and is covered by Google's privacy policy; it carries none of your chat data. The content script on the chat sites does not make this request.
It does not read pages on any other website. When you open the popup, the extension checks the address of the current tab only to tell you whether that page is one of the supported chat sites; the browser makes that address available to it only on those sites, and the extension does not store it or send it anywhere. It does not read tab titles from the browser; the title saved with a backup comes from the chat page itself. It does not read passwords, payment details or cookies. It does not sell, share or transfer data to anyone. It contains no remote code.
Delete any backup, clear the whole vault, or uninstall the extension at any time; uninstalling removes all stored data. Retention can be set to delete backups older than a number of days.
