These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Northtape website, the Northtape desk/app, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Northtape ("Northtape", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Risk Disclosure. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to you, including in your jurisdiction.
Northtape provides research, data, analytics, education, and optional automation tooling. Northtape is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or commodity trading advisor, and the Service does not constitute investment, legal, tax, or financial advice. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. The founding rate ($8/mo) applies for the first 6 months and then renews at the then-current standard rate ($20/mo) unless cancelled. Optional add-ons (e.g., Loomi Auto) are billed separately. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing and takes effect at the end of the current period. Except where required by law or expressly stated (e.g., a 7-day first-payment refund on the membership), fees are non-refundable. Prices may change on prospective notice.
If you enable Loomi Auto, you authorize the Service to send order instructions to a brokerage account you connect, according to settings you control. You remain solely responsible for your account, your settings, and for monitoring activity. Automation may fail; you must maintain the ability to intervene. See the Risk Disclosure for the risks involved.
You agree not to resell or redistribute the Service or its strategy source code; scrape, reverse-engineer, or circumvent access controls; share your account; or use the Service to break the law or infringe others' rights. Strategy recipes and source code are licensed to you for personal use only and remain our intellectual property.
The Service, including software, content, strategy code, and branding, is owned by Northtape or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial trading. All rights not granted are reserved.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NORTHTAPE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR TRADING LOSSES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold Northtape harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your trading, or your breach of these Terms.
We may modify the Service or these Terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date and, where appropriate, notice to you. Continued use after changes means you accept them. We may suspend or end the Service or your access at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois. [Confirm venue/arbitration with counsel.]
