Platforms: Tradovate is the mandatory first-login platform (cloud backend); NinjaTrader and Rithmic-based terminals are also supported, and TradingView charting is available via the Tradovate integration. FundedNext charges no monthly platform fee and no data-feed surcharge on any plan.
Universal conduct rules: CURRENT PRODUCT LINEUP (as of 2026-09-05): Effective 10 July 2026, the original single-tier "Rapid Challenge" and the "Bolt" challenge were discontinued for new purchases and resets. They were replaced by a revamped "Rapid" product with two selectable reward journeys: Rapid Pro and Rapid Daily. The four currently purchasable models are therefore: Legacy, Flex, Rapid Pro, and Rapid Daily. (Existing Bolt/old-Rapid accounts opened before 10 July 2026 continue under their original terms but are no longer sold.) ACCOUNT LIMITS: An individual (and a household) may hold up to 5 active FundedNext Futures accounts at any one time. Maximum total Challenge-account allocation is $750,000 at a time across all held challenges (official help-center figure; some third-party reviews instead cite a $300,000 cap, so treat the exact ceiling as needing reconfirmation at purchase time). OVERNIGHT / WEEKEND HOLDING: NOT allowed. Per FundedNext Futures' own help article, traders must close all positions by 3:10 PM Central Time (CT) each trading day; positions not manually closed are automatically liquidated by the system. Trading resumes at 5:00 PM CT the same day, and after the weekend at 5:00 PM CT Sunday. This applies uniformly to both the Challenge and the funded FundedNext Account. (Note: some third-party marketing comparison tables describe "overnight/weekend holding allowed" for a Flex-style model — this appears to be an error or refers to FundedNext's separate CFD/Forex product line, not Futures. The dedicated Futures help article is the authoritative source and is unambiguous that positions must be flat by 3:10 PM CT.) NEWS TRADING: Fully allowed, with no restrictions on timing or news type (NFP, CPI, FOMC, GDP, geopolitical events) — confirmed on both the official "What is Allowed" general-rules page and a dedicated FAQ, for both Challenge and funded phases. The only related restriction is a general ban on opening trades within 2% of the CME's daily price limit. MAX ACCOUNTS / ALLOCATION: see above. PROHIBITED STRATEGIES (official "What is Forbidden" page + prohibited-strategies FAQ, ~20 items): exploiting platform errors/glitches; account sharing (trading someone else's account or letting others trade yours); account rolling (buying many challenges to pass by chance); multi-order spam / coordinated order manipulation; abusing slow/delayed data feeds; account flipping (reckless oversized risk-taking); unauthorized copy trading and group trading (copying between a trader's OWN accounts, including across FundedNext Futures and other prop firms under the same verified name, using tools like Tradovate's native copy feature or NinjaTrader's Replikanto, IS allowed — copying another person's trades or using paid signal services is not); spoofing; layering/order-book shaping; unrealistic "bracket strategy" exploitation of no-slippage fills; grid trading; wash trading; latency arbitrage; reverse hedging across accounts; hedging with highly correlated instruments; trading gapped/illiquid markets to exploit abnormal pricing; micro/tick-scalping (positions closed within ~10 seconds making up 40%+ of trades or profit); and trading within 2% of CME price limits. EAs, bots, and algorithmic/automated strategies ARE explicitly allowed (Tradovate-integrated), as is disciplined dollar-cost-averaging (DCA) into positions. DRAWDOWN METHODOLOGY (all current models): End-of-day (EOD) trailing maximum loss limit — the trailing floor is calculated off the highest end-of-day account balance and only moves up on new closing highs (never intraday), and is expressed as a fixed dollar amount once it stops trailing at the starting balance for most models. No model currently sold uses intraday trailing or a purely static drawdown. FUNDING KIND: All funded "FundedNext Account" stages are simulated ("sim-funded") accounts on Tradovate/NinjaTrader/Rithmic infrastructure, funded from FundedNext's own capital, with real cash payouts to the trader. Legacy is the ONLY model that offers an optional additional step — the "FundedNext Live Trading Program" — letting a sustained-profitable Legacy sim-funded trader convert into an actual live broker account (simulated profit is split 50% settlement withdrawal / 25% live trading deposit / 25% reserve on conversion). Flex, Rapid Pro, and Rapid Daily remain sim-funded only, with no live-account path found. FEES: No activation fee and no monthly fee on any model or size; the one-time Challenge purchase price is the only cost (a separate "Reset" fee applies only if a trader breaches and resets the same challenge). PRICING CAVEAT: FundedNext runs frequent promo/coupon pricing, and two different official pages returned slightly different current prices for the same Rapid Pro/Daily tiers ($149.99/$249.99 on the model landing page vs. $169.99/$279.99 on the dedicated pricing FAQ) — both are "official" but reflect different live promotions/coupons, so treat listed prices as approximate/point-in-time rather than exact.
News & overnight: News trading: fully allowed, no restrictions (see universal_rules). Overnight/weekend holding: NOT allowed — flat by 3:10 PM CT daily, auto-liquidated if not closed, resumes 5:00 PM CT (5:00 PM CT Sunday after weekend). Applies to both Challenge and funded accounts, all models.
