Built to catch the moment a trend changes direction and momentum takes over.
Momentum · NVDA · Daily / GC · 5m
The Turn is a momentum strategy. It uses MACD, an indicator that compares a fast and a slow moving average to show whether momentum is building or fading, together with a long-term moving average (the average price over many days, which smooths out the noise). When both agree that the trend is changing, slower and bigger money tends to be committing too, and a well-timed entry can ride most of the move. The published results come from one specific test window and a small number of trades, so treat them as a proof of concept, not a guarantee.
On NVDA daily charts, The Turn does not trade every day. It waits through the sideways stretches and only acts once its trend and momentum readings line up, then holds through the move it has found. In quiet periods it sits in cash: no signal, no forced trade. The exact triggers, filters and management rules are private. They ship inside the code, not in this description.
The Turn watches the long-term moving average and MACD momentum at the same time on NVDA daily bars. It looks for the moment both readings start pointing the same way, which is the early sign of a real change in trend.
Not every wiggle counts. The strategy waits for confirmation before it treats a shift as real, which is why it sits out more sessions than it trades. That patience is part of the design, not a flaw.
Once confirmed, The Turn commits and holds through the trend it identified, on NVDA daily charts or on GC (the gold futures contract) on the 5-minute chart. The exact entry, stop and exit rules are private and ship with the strategy itself.
The Turn fits you if you want a slower, higher-conviction momentum system, whether that means holding NVDA for days on the daily chart or trading gold futures during the day on the 5-minute chart.

Test window and data: NVDA daily 2016-01 → 2026-03 (this window was identified because it reproduces the published trade list exactly) · GC 5m 2024–2026
Cost model: Commission $0.62/contract (futures) · 0.10%/trade (equities) · slippage 1 tick (a small price slip assumed on every fill) · pyramiding 0 (never adds to an open position) · bar-close calc only (every decision is made at the close of a bar) · fixed size (the same position size on every trade)
Verification: Checked twice: the same rules were run separately on TradingView and in Python, and both runs had to agree. The public certificate carries the record hash, a digital fingerprint that shows the numbers have not been altered since.
These are backtested results, meaning the rules were run on past price data. They are historical and hypothetical, they include the modeled costs above, and they do not guarantee future performance.

Sequence reads the overall market mood and the odds that today closes higher, so it helps you judge whether the broader backdrop supports the kind of sustained move The Turn is built to catch.
